A.
No person shall operate any moped, minibike, go-cart, trail bike
or any registered or unregistered motor vehicle upon the Bikeway,
Conservation Center, the Cranford Board of Education or other property
of the Township of Cranford, located in the Township of Cranford,
Union County, New Jersey, without permission therefor.[1]
B.
Nothing herein contained, however, shall be construed to prohibit
the operation of any registered motor vehicle on any public highway
or parking lot and access road or to prohibit the operation of any
vehicle owned by the State of New Jersey, the County of Union, the
Township of Cranford or the Cranford Board of Education in connection
with the maintenance or operation of a public facility located in
the Township of Cranford.
Any motor vehicle operated in violation of this chapter shall be deemed to be a nuisance, and any peace officer may impound any such vehicle. The owner shall pay the reasonable cost of the removal and storage of any such vehicle so impounded before being permitted to regain possession thereof. Such cost and expense shall be in addition to the fine or penalty hereinafter provided for in § 416-3.
