Pursuant to the provisions of the State Construction Code, in
accordance with Section 8(b) of Act 230, of the Public Acts of 1972,
as amended (MCL 125.1508b), the Township Building Official is hereby
designated as the enforcing agency to discharge the responsibility
of the Township under Act 230, of the Public Acts of 1972, as amended,
State of Michigan. Pittsfield Charter Township ("the Township") assumes
responsibility for the administration and enforcement of said Act
throughout the corporate limits of the Township.
Pursuant to the provision of the State Construction Code, in
accordance with the Section 8(b) of Act 230, of the Public Acts of
1972, as amended, Appendix G of the State Building Code shall be enforced
by the enforcing agency within the Township.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Flood Insurance
Study (FIS) entitled "Washtenaw County Michigan" and dated April 3,
2012, and the Flood Insurance Rate Map(s) (FIRMS) panel numbers of
26161C0244E, 26161C0263E, 26161C0264E, 26161C0268E, 26161C0382E, 26161C0384E,
26161C0392E, 26161C0401E, 26161C0402E, 26161C0405E, 26161C0406E, 26161C0410E,
26161C0415E and 26161C0420E and dated April 3, 2012, are adopted by
reference for the purposes of administration of the State Construction
Code and declared to be a part of Section 1612.3 of the State Building
Code, and to provide the content of the "flood hazards" section of
Table R301.2(1) of the State Residential Code.
