No person shall detain or fail to return any book or article
borrowed from the Wood-Ridge Free Public Library, contrary to the
rules and regulations of the library, after 30 days have elapsed from
the date of posting by certified mail, return receipt requested, of
a notice demanding return thereof, addressed to the person at the
last address furnished to the library.
No person shall willfully or maliciously cut, tear, deface,
disfigure, damage or destroy any book or other article or any part
thereof which is owned by or is in the custody of such library.
No person with intent to defraud shall register or furnish a
false name or address or use any card other than the one issued by
the library to such person for the purpose of borrowing any book or
article from the library.

A Board of Trustees is hereby established to govern the Wood-Ridge
Memorial Public Library pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:54, which Board shall
be vested with all powers, responsibilities and obligations as set
forth in N.J.S.A. 40:54.
The Board of Trustees shall consist of nine members, comprised
of the Mayor, the Superintendent of Schools and seven citizens of
the Borough of Wood-Ridge pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:54-9 and 40:54-10.
The Mayor shall appoint the citizen members of the Board of Trustees
for terms of five years, and vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired
term only. The Mayor and the Superintendent of Schools may, respectively,
appoint an alternate, who shall serve for a term of one year from
January 1 to December 31, to act in his or her place and stead with
authority to attend all meetings of the Board and, in his or her absence,
to vote on all questions before the Board. Said members shall receive
no compensation for their services.
The Borough Council may appoint one of its members to serve
as a liaison to the Board of Trustees for a term of one year from
January 1 to December 31. Said liaison shall have the right to attend
and participate in all meetings of the Board and its subcommittees,
including any closed executive sessions, but shall not have a vote
unless he or she is also a member of the Board of Trustees.
