A. No person shall advertise, conduct, hold, carry on, or permit any
home, garage, patio, yard or rummage sale on the grounds of or within
any dwelling within the City without a permit.
B. Such permit, issued by the City Clerk shall set forth, in writing,
the name of the person holding or conducting such sale, the location
of the sale and the date such sale is to be held.
C. No permit shall be issued by the City to any person more often than
once every thirty (30) days and shall be subject to the limitations
provided in this Article; provided however, that schools, churches
and bona fide non-profit organizations may carry on rummage sales
with no restrictions as to number of or duration of the sales if the
sale is held on school or church property.

A. No person shall advertise, conduct, hold, carry on or permit any
home, garage, patio, yard or rummage sale on the grounds of or within
any dwelling within the City more than five (5) times in any one (1)
calendar year nor shall a permit be issued for the premises more than
five (5) times each calendar year. The two (2) day Citywide garage
sale held in September shall not be a part of the five (5) otherwise
permitted.
B. No person shall advertise, conduct, hold, carry on or permit any
home, garage, patio, yard or rummage sale which lasts more than four
(4) consecutive days.

Garage sale signage must meet all regulations detailed in Chapter
430 of this Code of Ordinances.

The City Clerk shall issue a permit to applicants who are in
compliance with this Article upon payment of an administrative fee
of one dollar ($1.00) for each day the sale is to be held. The fee
is waived on the two (2) day Citywide garage sale which is held in
September.

Any person who shall conduct, hold, carry on or permit any home,
garage, patio, yard or rummage sale which does not have a timely and
valid permit issued by the City shall pay a penalty of fifty dollars
($50.00) for each day the sale is conducted, held, or carried on without
said timely and valid permit.
