A.
The Village Water Division will install up to a two-inch service with a shutoff valve at the street right-of-way line. Connection to this valve shall be made by the property owner's contractor at his/her expense in the presence of an inspector. Water shall not be turned on except by the Village Water Division after the meter is installed and inspected. Water taps in excess of two inches shall be performed by a contractor at the owner's expense.

Taps over two inches, or any tap, that is installed by the property owner's contractor, is the property owner's responsibility to maintain.
B.
Water piping to single- and two-family dwellings shall be minimum three-fourths-inch Type K copper continuous to the meter set. Rigid materials, i.e., brass, may be used with prior approval.
C.
Industrial and commercial water piping shall be of a size approved by the Superintendent of Public Works or his assigned designee. Copper pipe or ductile iron Class 52 shall be used between the water main and the meter.
