This Article shall apply to and control the extension of municipal
utilities to subdivision property in the City of Jonesburg, by which
term "subdivision property" is meant any smaller parcel of land severed
by deed, contract, deed of trust or mortgage foreclosure, lease or
custom and sufferance from a larger parcel of land and such larger
parcel from which smaller tracts and parcels have been or are planned
to be so severed.

The owner of any subdivision property shall pay the cost of
extending the municipal utility mains and service lines to each parcel
and improvement to be served except that the City of Jonesburg shall
furnish the unconnected water meter at the site.

The terms of this Article to the contrary notwithstanding, all
work done and materials used in extending municipal utilities to subdivision
property shall be approved by the City of Jonesburg prior to connection
to the City facilities, and said City shall inspect and approve the
construction before excavations are closed and service is commenced.

The Board of Aldermen may suspend for any specific parcel of
land or person any of the provisions of this Article by resolution
at a regular meeting.

From and after June 7, 1971, any person failing to comply with any of the provisions of Chapter
710 shall be given ninety (90) days' written notice by the City Clerk to conform to and comply with same and if, after the expiration of said ninety-day period, compliance is not completely effected, the engineer, Superintendent of Public Works, Waterworks and Sewerage System Manager, or other City employee designated by the Board of Aldermen shall disconnect the premises not in compliance from the City water system, and such City service shall not again be resumed until such premises are brought into full compliance with said Chapter
