1. Ross Township Municipal Center Park. The Ross Township Municipal
Center park area shall be open to the public between sunrise and sunset.
No person or persons shall be in, on or about the playground, fields
or pavilions during the prohibited times. Excluded from the above
are:
A. Persons going to or from scheduled events within the Municipal Center,
meetings of the Board of Commissioners or any other board or agency
of the Township or persons with needs, business or meetings for the
Ross Township Police Department.
B. Individuals/organizations with a valid rental permit.
2. Evergreen Community Park. Unless otherwise specified, all Township
parks and recreation areas shall be open to the public between sunrise
and sunset. No person or persons shall be in, on or about the above
premises during the prohibited times except for individuals and/or
organizations with a valid rental permit.
3. Denny Park. Unless otherwise specified, all Township parks and recreation
areas shall be open to the public between sunrise and sunset. No person
or persons shall be in, on or about the above premises during the
prohibited times except for individuals and/or organizations with
a valid rental permit.
4. All Other Township Parks. Unless otherwise specified, all Township
parks and recreation areas shall be open to the public between sunrise
and sunset. No person or persons shall be in, on or about the above
premises during the prohibited times except for individuals and/or
organizations with a valid rental permit.

1. Motor vehicles may not be parked within the parks except in designated
parking areas.
2. No vehicles shall be parked overnight without the approval of the
Township.

Grass areas shall not be used for roadways, parking or for other
purposes that may injure or destroy the turf or landscaping.

1. Unauthorized motor vehicles, whether licensed or unlicensed, including
motorbikes, motorcycles, minibikes, snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles,
are not permitted within the Township's parks.
2. All vehicles are restricted to roadways except those used for maintenance
or police work.
3. No person shall polish, paint, grease, lubricate or repair mechanically
any vehicle or have any other work performed on it within the confines
of the Township's parks except of a minor nature and then only
in cases of emergency.
4. The Township shall regulate speed, traffic control and vehicular
regulations on and about any roads, driveways, parking areas or other
areas within any of the Township's parks. Such regulations will
be prominently posted in the parks and will be strictly enforced by
the police.
5. Unless otherwise posted, the speed limit in all Township parks shall
be 15 m.p.h.

1. The following activities and uses are prohibited:
F. The use or discharge of any firearms, air rifles, spring guns, bow
and arrows, slingshots, BB guns or rifles or darts.
G. Destruction of, or interference with, wildlife or their feeding grounds,
nests or resting or breeding places.
J. Moving, defacing or altering picnic tables.
K. Cutting, mutilating, removing or taking away of trees, shrubs, turf,
plants, flower or other natural phenomena or the removal, defacing
or damaging of any park or recreational area property, including,
but not limited to, buildings, equipment, supplies or other property.
L. Defacing, littering or making unsanitary or inoperable any rest rooms,
washrooms, or portable toilets or other facilities or preventing the
proper drainage of any toilet, pipe or drain.
M. Organized team and/or league sports except under the authority of
a permit granted by the Township.
N. The possession and consumption of alcoholic beverages in the Township's
parks shall only be allowed under the authority of a permit granted
by the Township.
O. Disorderly conduct as defined in statutes of the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania.
P. Possession, sale or use of non-prescribed drugs.

The regulations of animals in Township parks shall be defined in Chapter
2, "Animals."

1. Fires may be built only in fireplaces provided or in grills brought
to the park for this purpose.
2. All fires must be extinguished before leaving.
3. Campfires or fires for use in conjunction with scouting or social
activities, which cannot be accommodated in existing fireplaces or
grills, may be permitted upon application to and upon written approval
from the Township.

Any person using a Township park, with or without a permit,
shall be fully and financially responsible for any damages that person
may inflict upon park property and equipment.

All forms of waste material, paper or rubbish shall be properly
disposed of by either placing the waste materials in containers supplied
for that purpose or by removing upon exit from the park for proper
disposal.

1. Picnics will be allowed only on locations provided for that purpose.
2. Persons holding picnics shall clean up and place all wastepaper and
other refuse in receptacles provided for that purpose.
3. Permits are required for the preferential and exclusive use of picnic
facilities located at Ross Township Municipal Center, Evergreen Community
Park and Denny Park. Permits may be obtained from the Township Recreation
Department.

1. Amplification or sound systems shall be only used between the hours
of 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 1:00 p.m.
to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday.
2. Noise levels that disturb the peace are not permitted.
3. The Township reserves the right to permit or recognize separate and
specific memorandums of understanding that permit amplification and
sound systems to be used outside the established permitted hours for
specific locations, activities and events.

The Township reserves the right to permit, restrict and/or prohibit
certain enumerated activities, uses and/or conduct in any individual
park, park area or facility. Location specific rules and regulations
must be prominently posted at the entrance to any regulated park,
park area or facility.

1. Any person or other entity violating any of the provisions of this
Part shall, upon conviction thereof before a justice, be fined $300,
plus costs of prosecution, for each and every offense.
2. Each and every violation of any provision of the terms of this Part
and each and every day a violation occurs shall constitute a separate
and distinct offense under this Part, and each such offense shall
be subject to separate and distinct penalties hereunder.
3. The penalties provided in this section shall not be the exclusive
method of enforcing compliance with the provisions of this Part, but
shall be in addition to all other legal and equitable remedies available.
