The purpose of this district is to provide for certain commercial development to take place within the district, provided that an I-79 interchange exists to service traffic generated by such uses and to avoid burdening the local road network.

In the B-1-A Highway Interchange District, only the following uses are authorized:
1202.1. 
Permitted Uses.
A. 
Principal Uses:
(1) 
Business or professional offices, minor.
(2) 
Contracting business and contractor's yard.
(3) 
Essential services.
(4) 
Forestry.
(5) 
Light manufacturing.
(6) 
Mini-warehouse or self-storage facilities.
(7) 
Printing establishment.
(8) 
Public utility building or structure.
(9) 
Repair shop.
(10) 
Research and development.
(11) 
Supply yard.
(12) 
Warehousing and distribution.
(13) 
Wholesale business.
B. 
Accessory Uses:
(1) 
Drive-through facilities, subject to § 27-2107.
(2) 
Fences, subject to § 27-2104.
(3) 
Home office or home occupation in a dwelling which is a nonconforming use.
(4) 
Off-street parking and loading, subject to Part 22.
(5) 
Outdoor hydronic heater, subject to § 27-1906.51.
(6) 
Retail sales of products produced on site.
(7) 
Signs, subject to Part 23.
(8) 
Solar energy system (small and large), subject to § 27-1906.51.
(9) 
Temporary construction trailer or sales office, subject to § 27-2108.
(10) 
Wind energy system (small), subject to § 27-1906.51.
(11) 
Other accessory uses customarily incidental to and on the same lot with any permitted use authorized in this district.

In the B-1-A Highway Interchange District, all uses shall be subject to the following regulations, except as they may be modified by the express standards and criteria for the specific conditional uses and uses by special exception contained in Part 19.
