[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Cecil 5-5-1966 by Ord. No. 4-66. Amendments noted where applicable.]
The proposed Articles of Incorporation of the said Authority are as follows:
A. 
The name of the said Authority shall be "Cecil Township Municipal Authority."
B. 
This Authority is formed under the Act of General Assembly of the Commonwealth, which was approved the second day of May, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended.[1]

C. 
No other Authority organized under the said Act or under the act approved the 28th day of June, 1935, P.L. 463, is in existence in or for the said incorporating municipality, except an Authority incorporated on June 17, 1940, called the "Authority of Township of Cecil."
D. 
The name of the incorporating municipality is Cecil Township, and its address is Municipal Building, R.D. #3, McDonald, Cecil Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania.[2]

The said Authority shall be for the purpose of acquiring, holding, constructing, improving, maintaining and operating, owning, leasing, either in the capacity of lessor or lessee, projects of the following kind and character, to wit: buildings and structures to be devoted wholly or partially for public use and for revenue purposes; water and waterworks projects; sewers, sewer systems or parts thereof; sewage treatment works including works for treating and disposing of industrial waste facilities; and equipment for the collection, removal or disposal of ashes, garbage, rubbish and other refuse materials by incineration, landfill or other methods; and all facilities in any way used, useful, necessary, convenient or incidental to the furtherance and operation of such projects; and any other system, structure or operation which may be lawfully authorized under the Act of May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended.
The several officers of the said Township are hereby authorized and directed to do and perform every lawful, requisite and convenient thing for the organization of the said Authority which is provided and authorized by said Act of 1945.
