A. 
Each Supervisor of the Township of Cecil elected or appointed to office on or after shall receive compensation for attending duly advertised general or special public meetings of the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Cecil at a rate to be determined pursuant to the Second Class Township Code as aforesaid.
B. 
No Supervisor shall receive annual compensation under this section in excess of the annual statutory limit set by the General Assembly in Act 41 of 1988 for Supervisors of Townships within the appropriate population categories as aforesaid.
C. 
No Supervisor shall be compensated for attending any meetings of the Board of Supervisors in excess of 40 meetings per year; any such absences of compensation shall not negate or in any way adversely affect such Supervisor's duty or obligation to attend any uncompensated meetings.
D. 
Any such compensation as aforesaid shall be paid to the Supervisors in quarterly installments.

A. 
Authority. The Board of Supervisors shall have, among others, the following powers:
(1) 
Adopt and amend the Township Comprehensive Plan.
(2) 
Adopt or amend an official map, zoning ordinance, subdivision and land development ordinance, unified development ordinance, building code and housing code, in accordance with other Township ordinances and the laws of the commonwealth.
(3) 
Appoint a zoning hearing board, planning commission, building code appeals board, and director of planning in accordance with the prescribed rules of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code.
(4) 
Hear and render final decisions or otherwise approve applications for subdivision, rezoning, conditional use, planned residential development, site plans, land development plans, and municipal curative amendments.
(5) 
Grant or deny requests for modifications to otherwise applicable zoning or subdivision regulations within a planned residential development.
(6) 
Hear appeals from the determination of the zoning official or the Township Engineer in the administration of any land use ordinance or provisions thereof with reference to sedimentation and erosion control and stormwater management insofar as the same relate to applications for subdivision or land development.
(7) 
Grant waivers from the requirements for subdivisions and land developments contained in Chapter 210, Subdivision and Land Development, and Chapter 240, Zoning, Article VII, of this Code.
(8) 
Prescribe, by resolution, reasonable fees with respect to the administration of this article and with respect to the scheduling of required hearings.
B. 
Conduct of business. The Township Board of Supervisors, in considering conditional use applications, is required to observe the procedural requirements set forth in Chapter 240, Zoning, § 240-13, of this Code. In considering proposed changes in the text of land development and zoning ordinances or in the Zoning Map, the Board acts in its legislative capacity and must proceed in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 240, Zoning, § 240-12, of this Code.
