All voter registration will be conducted as directed by the Board of Supervisors of Elections. Registration will be conducted at a time and place to be designated and publicized by the Board as outlined in the Town Charter. Registration data will contain the following information for all voters:
A. 
Name of applicant.
B. 
Address.
C. 
Date of birth.
D. 
Place of birth.
E. 
Source of citizenship.
F. 
Date of most recent residence in Westernport.
G. 
Remarks, when applicable.
All voters will be required to take the following oath at the time of registration: "I solemnly swear that the information I have offered, concerning my registration as a voter in the Town of Westernport, is true and complete to the best of my knowledge and belief."
A. 
Voters who are unable to present themselves for registration but are otherwise qualified to vote in the Town elections may be registered by sending a letter to the Board of Supervisors of Elections requesting such registration and providing the information required in § 48-1 above.
B. 
The voter registration oath will be properly certified by a notary public and will accompany the request for registration.
Qualified and registered voters who are unable to present themselves for voting on election day may request an absentee ballot. Such ballot will be mailed to the absentee voter as soon as feasible after it is determined that the requestor is properly entitled to vote. The completed ballot must arrive in the Town mail not later than election day.[1]
