The operation and maintenance of food and beverage vending machines within the Borough of Demarest must comply with the provisions of the Food and Beverage Vending Machine Code of New Jersey (1961),[1] which code and exhibits annexed hereto pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 26:3-69.1 to 26:3-69.6, are incorporated by reference herein, as if set forth in full herein, three copies of which code are on file with and available for inspection at the office of the Board in the custody of the Secretary of said Board.

No mechanical device for vending any food, beverage or ice shall be installed, operated or maintained within the Borough of Demarest, unless a license for the operation of such device has previously been issued by the Board.
The Health Officer or Sanitarian shall inspect each device for approval thereof and from time to time thereafter to ensure full compliance herewith.
Every such device shall be identified on the outside, plainly visible, with the name and address of the owner and the number of the license issued to such owner.
Every such device shall be maintained in a sanitary manner at all times and in condition satisfactory to the Health Officer or Sanitarian, who shall access thereto and the interior thereof at all times.
