A. 
This article of the Town of Milo, Yates County, New York, shall be known as the "Grievance Day Establishment Law."
B. 
The purpose of this article is to reestablish the day for the hearings by the Board of Assessment Review of the Town of Milo of grievances addressed to real property tax assessments pursuant to Real Property Tax Law § 512.
This article shall be applicable to all grievances addressed to assessment of lands within the Town of Milo and shall be in effect indefinitely or until modified or repealed by the Town Board of the Town of Milo.
All grievances addressed to assessments of real property within the Town of Milo shall be heard by the Board of Assessment Review of the Town of Milo on the fourth Tuesday in May of each year commencing May 26, 2009.
This article shall be interpreted in such a way wherever possible so that the meaning of the words and phrases and sections herein shall make them valid and legal in their effect. Whenever the requirements of this article are at variance with the requirements of other lawfully adopted rules, regulations or laws, the law with the most restrictive provisions or those imposing the higher standards shall govern.
