The Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, and during his absence
or incapacity, the Vice Chairman, is authorized to declare a local
disaster emergency subject to compliance with the Pennsylvania Emergency
Management Services Code, 35 Pa.C.S.A. § 7101 et seq., as
amended (the "Emergency Management Services Code").

For the purposes of emergency management services, the Township
Manager shall serve as Public Safety Director and the Assistant Township
Manager shall serve as Assistant Public Safety Director.

Pursuant to the authority invested in the Board of Supervisors
by the Constitution, the Emergency Management Services Code, and the
Governor's Proclamation of December 20, 2004, implementing the
National Incident Management System (NIMS), the Board of Supervisors
mandates that the NIMS be utilized for all incident management in
the Township.

The Board of Supervisors shall adopt, from time to time by resolution,
an Emergency Operations Plan for the Township.
