A. 
No person shall operate any vehicle or conveyance at a rate of speed greater than that posted upon the speed limit signs erected along the rights-of-way within the Village Park. In the absence of signs, no one shall exceed a speed in excess of 10 miles per hour, nor in all events a greater speed than is reasonable and proper with regard to traffic conditions and the use of the roads, or which endangers the safety of any personal property.
B. 
Anyone found guilty of a violation of Subsection A shall be subject to a penalty as set forth in Chapter 56, Article I, of the Village Code for each and every offense.[1]

As a result of the narrowness of the Village streets and a traffic investigation study conducted on behalf of the Village in 2008, no person shall operate any vehicle on a street within the Village at a rate of speed greater than 25 miles per hour, except on the following streets: North Main Street, Oakwood Street, Route 150 and any street located within the Village Park.
No person shall operate any vehicle on North Main Street at a rate of speed greater than 30 miles per hour.

Main Street running east and west between Harrison Street in the East to Haynes Street in the West at a posted rate of 20 mile per hour.
No person shall operate any vehicle on an alley within the Village at a rate of speed greater than 15 miles per hour.
Appropriate traffic-control signs indicating the maximum speed limit adopted herein shall be erected at such locations deemed appropriate by the Superintendent of Public Works.
Anyone found guilty of a violation of this article shall be subject to a penalty as set forth in Chapter 56, Article I, of the Village Code for each and every offense.
