The Council of the Borough of Bristol hereby signifies its intention and desire to organize an Authority under the provisions of the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945, as amended.

The President and the Secretary of the Council of the Borough of Bristol are hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the Borough of Bristol Articles of Incorporation for said Authority, in substantially the following form:
ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION
To the Secretary of the Commonwealth,
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
In compliance with the requirements of the Act of May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, known as "Municipality Authorities Act of 1945," as amended, the Borough of Bristol, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, desiring to incorporate an Authority thereunder, does hereby certify:
1.
The name of the Authority is "Bristol Borough Water and Sewer Authority."
2.
Said Authority is formed under the provisions of the Act of May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended.
3.
Other Authorities organized under the Act of May 2, 1945, are as follows: Bristol Borough Marina Authority, July 11, 1962, and Bristol Borough Recreation Authority, June 6, 1969.
4.
The name of the incorporating municipality is Borough of Bristol, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
5.
The names and addresses of its municipal authorities are as follows: (Here followed the names, addresses and titles of the principal officers of the Borough at the time of enactment of this ordinance.)
6.
The names, addresses and terms of office of the first members of the Board of the Authority to be formed hereby are as follows: (Here followed the names, addresses and terms of office of the first Authority Board members.),
7.
The ordinance authorizing the creation of said Authority, certified from the records of the Borough of Bristol, together with advertisement of notice of filing these Articles of Incorporation are each submitted herewith.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the undersigned have executed these Articles on behalf of the Borough of Bristol and have caused to be affixed the seal thereof this 12th day of March, 1973.

The initial project which shall be undertaken by the said Authority shall be to acquire, hold, construct, improve, maintain, operate, own, lease, either in the capacity of lessor or lessee, buildings and facilities to be devoted wholly or partially for the following public uses: water works, water supply works, water distribution systems, sewers, sewer systems, and sewerage treatment works including works for treatment and disposing of industrial wastes, and that said Authority shall not undertake any other project or projects unless specifically authorized so to do by ordinance duly enacted by the Council of the Borough of Bristol.
