[Res. 31-93, 10/11/1993, § 1 as amended by Ord.
04-5, 6/28/2004, § 6]
Any and all contractors that submit applications for a building
permit to be obtained from the Township or to provide services to
the Township shall file with the Township, on forms acceptable to
and approved by the Township, a registration which provides such information
as is required by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania pursuant to the
Workman's Compensation Reform Act, Act No. 44-1993, 77 P.S. § 462.2,
which registration shall be valid for one calendar year and shall
further provide such updated or additional information and detail
as is necessary with regard to each building application sought for
services provided within the Township.
[Res. 31-93, 10/11/1993, § 2; as amended by Ord.
97-7, 10/13/1997, § 5-122]
Concurrent with the submission of the registration form, each
such contractor or subcontractor who shall provide services within
the Township shall tender to the Township such sum as may be provided,
from time to time, by resolution of the Board of Supervisors.
[Res. 31-93, 10/11/1993, § 3]
Any such contractor or subcontractor who fails to file a registration
or tender the appropriate fee to the Township shall not be entitled
to perform any work or services on any construction or improvement
activity taking place in the Township which requires a building permit
or which is being conducted on behalf of the Township and failure
to file such registration or tender such fee shall result in the issuance
of an immediate cease and desist order to be published and served
by the Code Enforcement Officer. Violation of any cease and desist
order or performance of work or services without the benefit of registration
and tender of the fee shall constitute violation of this part and
shall be the basis for refusal of future building permits or work
authorizations under such building permits until such registrations
are filed or fees tendered.
