On the following bridges and streets or parts of streets, by authority granted by § 4902(a) of the Vehicle Code, 75 Pa.C.S.A. § 4902(a), it shall be unlawful for any person or persons to drive any vehicle or combination having a gross weight in excess of the maximum prescribed below for the bridge or street or part of street, as the case may be:

Providing, nothing in this section shall prohibit any person from driving an emergency vehicle on any of those streets or parts of streets, or from driving on any of those streets or parts of streets a truck or other commercial vehicle making local deliveries to or pickups from premises located along that street or part of a street.

Any person who violates any provision of this section shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $35 and costs.

1. 
Unlawful to Transport Mobile Homes and Prefabricated Homes. It shall be unlawful for any driver or operator of a motor vehicle engaged in the transportation of a mobile home, prefabricated home or house trailer for placement upon premises within New Hanover Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, to transport the said vehicle and mobile home, prefabricated home or house trailer over the Township roads without first obtaining from the Township Manager, or the Manager's designee, a permit.
2. 
Cash Bond Required. Prior to the transportation of any motor vehicle engaged in the moving of said mobile homes, prefabricated homes or house trailers, the said driver and/or owner of the said motor vehicle shall first post with the Township Manager a cash bond in escrow, in an amount as established, from time to time, by resolution of the Board of Supervisors, to guarantee the restoration of any damages caused to the Township roads and/or Township shoulders by the said transportation and placement of the said mobile homes, prefabricated homes or house trailers upon premises within the Township.
3. 
Inspection of Roads. Upon completion of placement of the said mobile home, prefabricated home or house trailer, the Township Roadmaster, upon request, shall make an inspection of the said roads and shoulders to determine if there has in fact been caused any damage to the said road and road shoulders by the transportation and placement of the said mobile home, prefabricated home or house trailer.
4. 
Cost of Repairs. In the event the roadmaster determines that there has been damage to the road or road shoulders by the transportation and placement of the said mobile home, prefabricated home or house trailer, the Township Engineer shall then determine and establish a cost of estimate of repairs to the said road and road shoulders and shall so notify the Township Manager who shall then deduct the said cost estimate for repairs from the cash bond held in escrow and release the remaining moneys to the driver and operator of the motor vehicle engaged in the transportation of the said mobile homes, prefabricated homes or house trailers.
5. 
Penalties. Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision of this part, upon conviction thereof in an action brought before a magisterial district judge in the manner provided for the enforcement of summary offenses under the Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $25 nor more than $1,000 plus costs or such other penalty as may be authorized and imposed by law. Each day that a violation of this part continues or each section of this part which shall be found to have been violated shall constitute a separate offense. Notwithstanding the same, the Township may seek enforcement by means of request for injunctive relief or other equitable remedies as may be provided by law in a court of competent jurisdiction.
