1. There is hereby created the office of Ordinance Enforcement Officer,
and shall be appointed for a term of two years at the biannual reorganization
meeting on the first Monday of January on even-numbered years. The
Ordinance Enforcement Officer shall be paid as determined by the Borough
Council, by resolution, and may be removed from office by Borough
Council for cause shown after a hearing before Borough Council, of
which no less than 10 days' notice in writing shall be given.
2. The Ordinance Enforcement Officer shall hereafter perform all duties
as were previously delegated to the Borough Secretary.
3. If application is made to the Ordinance Enforcement Officer prior
to the expiration of the six-month term of a building permit, it may
be renewed for an additional term of six months for a fee of 10% of
the original cost of the permit. One such extension shall be permitted.
Any alterations of the original plans as approved by the Ordinance
Enforcement Officer shall require a new permit.
