The Manor Volunteer Fire Department is designated the officially
recognized fire company for the Borough of Manor, Westmoreland County,
Pennsylvania.

1.
The Borough of Manor Volunteer Fire Department and its membership
are authorized by the Council to perform the following duties in addition
to the normal firefighting, rescue and emergency medical duties:
A.
Respond to alarms/fire calls, including all emergency and firefighting
activities related thereto or authorized by the authorized approving
authority of the Fire Department; and to render assistance to other
municipalities pursuant to the provisions of the Interstate Mutual
Aid System (35 Pa.C.S.A. § 7331 et seq.) and/or as part
of an official mutual aid agreement entered into by the Borough prior
to the effective date of Act 93 of 2008 (35 Pa.C.S.A. § 7331
et seq.). For purposes of this subsection, "respond to alarms/fire
calls" shall include the volunteer firefighter's travel from
and direct return to the firefighter's house, place of business,
or other place where he or she shall have been when he/she received
the call or alarm.
B.
Perform repair, maintenance or other work on fire company equipment
at the direction of the authorized approving authority of the Fire
Department or officer in charge.
C.
Participate in authorized training or instruction fire drills pertaining
to the operation or certification of the fire company as authorized
by the authorized approving authority of the Fire Department or officer
in charge.
D.
Participate in authorized fire prevention programs/activities within
the coverage area when authorized by the authorized approving authority
of the Fire Department or the officer in charge.
E.
Perform administrative duties supporting the duties of the Fire Department
when authorized by the authorized approving authority of the Fire
Department or officer in charge. Records listing personnel on the
active roles of the Fire Department shall be provided to the Borough
on an annual basis.
F.
Participate in approved and authorized fund-raising events sponsored
by the Fire Department within the coverage area. Participation in
fund-raising activities of any kind outside the coverage area shall
not be allowed without written authorization of the Borough and the
authorized approving authority of the Fire Department. All fund-raising
activities must be preapproved by the Borough and the authorized approving
authority of the Fire Department.
G.
Participate in community events, school events, holiday or ceremonial
duties, parades and funerals for emergency service personnel within
the Coverage Area only with prior authorization by the Borough and
the authorized approving authority of the Fire Department.
H.
"Coverage area," when used in this subpart, for the Manor Volunteer
Fire Department, shall include the Borough of Manor, the Township
of North Huntingdon, the Township of Penn, the Township of Hempfield,
the Borough of Irwin, the Borough of North Irwin and the Borough of
Penn.
