Town of Alden, NY Article I Veterans Exemption

§ 314-1 Exemption granted; amount.

The Town Board of the Town of Alden, pursuant to § 458 of the Real Property Tax Law, as amended, hereby grants an exemption from Town of Alden real property taxes so as to increase the maximum income eligibility to the extent of 50% of the assessed valuation of real property owned by veterans who qualify therefor under said section.

[1] Editor's Note: This amendment provided that the exemption shall apply to rolls prepared on taxable status dates after 1-1-2003.

§ 314-2 When effective.

This article shall take effect immediately upon the filing in the office of the Secretary of State in accordance with the provisions of § 27 of the Municipal Home Rule Law.
