Pursuant to §§ 61.195, 61.197 and 66.0101, Wis.
Stats., the Village of Denmark elects not to be governed by those
portions of §§ 61.19, 61.23 and 61.25(2), Wis. Stats.,
which relate to the selection and tenure of the Village Assessor and
which are in conflict with this article.

The Village Assessor is a contracted position, who shall be
appointed by the Village President, subject to confirmation by a majority
vote of the members of the Village Board.

The Village Assessor shall, pursuant to the requirements of
§ 61.27, Wis. Stats., be certified by the Wisconsin Department
of Revenue under § 73.09, Wis. Stats., as qualified to perform
the functions of the office of Assessor prior to assuming the office.

The Village Assessor shall hold office as per contract renewal.

The Village Assessor shall perform all duties and functions
required by the Wisconsin Statutes relating to the office of Village
Assessor and shall be required to perform any other duties which shall
be assigned to him from time to time by the Village Board. The compensation
to be paid the Village Assessor shall be fixed annually as per contract.
