The Village Board of the Village of South Nyack, exercising
the authority granted to it by § 10, Subdivision 4(a), of
the Municipal Home Rule Law, by the adoption of this chapter, authorizes
the issuance of appearance tickets by the following public servants
of the Village:
The appearance tickets so issued shall be for the enforcement
of any statute of the State of New York or of any local law or ordinance,
rule or regulation of the Village of South Nyack relating to parking;
licensing of occupations or businesses; fire prevention and safety,
health and sanitation; and building, zoning and planning; provided,
however, that a peace officer is authorized to issue an appearance
ticket relating to enforcement of any statute, local law, ordinance,
rule or regulation affecting the public health, safety and welfare.
All appearance tickets shall comply as to form, issuance, service
and procedure as provided for in the Criminal Procedure Law of the
State of New York.[1]
