It is the intent of this article to provide for the health,
safety and welfare of the public by regulating the use of all public
parks within the Village of South Nyack for the benefit of the users
of such parks without encroaching upon the peace and tranquility of
neighboring private property owners.
A.
No person shall remove, deface or injure any park property, including
but not limited to trees, plants, grass, rocks, gates, chains, structures
or any other property placed in such park for the use or benefit of
the public.
B.
No person shall operate any motorized vehicle in any public park,
except for authorized emergency or official vehicles.
C.
No person shall deposit, place or permit the deposit or placing of
any object of any description in a public park, including trash, garbage,
brush, debris, structures, litter or any waste materials.
D.
No person shall set an open fire or permit an open fire to continue
burning in any park.
E.
No person shall fish, cast a line or troll from or within any public
park, except in specifically designated areas, if any.
F.
No person shall picnic, barbecue or cook within any public park,
except in specifically designated areas, if any.
G.
No person shall enter upon, remain in or use any park at any time
that the park is closed to the public.
H.
No person shall behave in a disorderly manner or perform any act
that interferes with or impairs the peaceful use of the park by any
other person.
I.
No person shall carry, drink or use alcoholic beverages within any
public park.
All parks shall be closed from dusk to dawn each and every day.
This article shall be enforced by the South Nyack-Grand View
Police Department and/or the Code Inspector of the Village of South
Nyack.

Any person found guilty of a violation of any provision of this article shall be subject to a Type A penalty as set forth in § 1-15 of the Village Code.
