1.
The Township is hereby authorized to enter into an intergovernmental cooperation agreement with Frazer Township for mutual aid and assistance for police services in the form attached hereto and incorporated herein at Exhibit 1-5-A (hereinafter referred to as the "Mutual Aid Agreement"). Pursuant to the requirements of the Intergovernmental Cooperation Act, 53 Pa.C.S.A. § 2301 et seq., the terms of the Mutual Aid Agreement and this Part set forth: (A) the conditions of agreement for the cooperation of the Township and Frazer Township; (B) the duration of the term of the agreement; (C) the purposes and objectives of the agreement; (D) the manner and extent of financing the agreement; and (E) the organizational structure necessary to implement the agreement. This Part shall authorize the Township to enter into additional agreements with other municipalities for mutual aid and assistance for police services from time to time, with any such agreements being deemed to have been authorized by this Part for purposes of the Intergovernmental Cooperation Act, provided that the Township approves such other mutual aid agreements by way of resolution at a public meeting. This Part shall further authorize the Township to terminate the attached Mutual Aid Agreement and any other mutual aid agreements that may be entered into by way of resolution approving such termination and enacted at a public meeting of the Township Board of Supervisors.
[Ord. 375, 11/12/2008, § 2]
The appropriate Township officials are hereby authorized to execute said Mutual Aid Agreement, and to take any and all actions necessary to effectuate the same.
