1. From and after the passage of this Part, the hereinafter described
section of the Township shall, for fire protection purposes, be known
as the Chapel Downs Plan and Guys Run Road Fire Hydrant District.
2. The Chapel Downs Plan and Guys Run Road Fire Hydrant District is
described as follows: all that certain Plan of lots known as Chapel
Downs Plan of Lots No. 1 and of record in the Recorder of Deeds Office
of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, in Plan Book Volume 70, Page 104,
including Township streets and roads in said plan, named Meadowvale
Drive, Guys Run Road and Highbury Road and Philomena Road.

1. The Township of Harmar shall enter into a contract with the Fox Chapel
Authority for the installation of fire hydrants where required on
water mains along the streets and roads where water mains are installed
in said section of the Township and for providing a water supply system
equipped to supply sufficient water for the protection of properties
in said Fire Hydrant District from fire.
2. Said contract shall include the following provisions:
A. The Township shall ordain and enact an ordinance creating a Fire
Hydrant District in the Chapel Downs Plan of Lots No. 1 covered by
the petitions executed by the owners of the majority of the lineal
feet frontage along the streets and roads in said plan.
B. The Fox Chapel Authority shall install and maintain fire hydrants
where required on its water mains along the streets and roads where
water mains are installed in the said Chapel Downs Plan of Lots No.
1 within the confines of the Township, and shall provide an adequate
water supply system equipped to furnish sufficient water for the protection
of properties in said Fire Hydrant District from fire.
C. The Township shall pay to the said Fox Chapel Authority an annual
fire hydrant rental for each fire hydrant placed and maintained by
the Authority as aforesaid, which rental shall be equal to the rental
established for fire hydrants on the comprehensive authority system,
which is presently $80 per hydrant per year.
D. The Authority shall maintain and repair all its lines and fire hydrants
within the said Fire Hydrant District at the cost of said Authority.

1. The Supervisors of the Township of Harmar shall annually assess the
cost and expense for the installation and maintenance of said fire
hydrants and fire protection service by an equal assessment on all
property, whether or not exempt from taxation under existing law,
abutting upon said streets and roads within 600 feet of any the hydrant
in the said Fire Hydrant District and benefitted thereby. In proportion
to the number of feet the said property fronts on any street or road
upon which a water main is laid, in within 600 feet of any fire hydrant
on such street or mad; the Supervisors may provide for an equitable
reduction from the frontage of lots at intersection, or where from
the peculiar or pointed shape of lots as assessment of the full frontage
would be inequitable.
2. No such assessment shall be made against any farm land but vacant
lots between built-up sections, either tilled or untilled, shall not
be deemed to be farm lands.
3. All such assessments for fire protection shall be filed with toe
Township's Tax Collector who shall give 30 days' written
or printed notice that the assessments are due and payable stating
the due date on each to be assessed, either by service on the owner
of the property or by mailing such notice to the owner at his last
known Post Office address.
4. The proceeds of such assessment shall be paid over to the Township
Treasurer who shall receive and keep the same in a separate account
and pay the same only upon orders signed by the Chairman of the Township
Supervisors, attested by the Secretary.

The proper officers of the Township are hereby authorized to
take all necessary steps to execute all documents and to do all things
necessary or proper to carry out the provisions of this Subpart.

1. From and after the passage of this Subpart, the hereinafter described
section of the Township shall, for fire protection purposes, be known,
as the Allegheny Valley Plaza Fire Hydrant District.
2. The Allegheny Valley Plaza Fire Hydrant District is described as
follows: all that certain lot or parcel of ground situate in the Township
of Harmer, County of Allegheny and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, being
bounded and described as follows, to wit:
A. South by Freeport Road (known as State Legislative Route No. 70,
also known as Pennsylvania Traffic Route No. 28) and by the right-of-way
of the western extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
B. West by State Highway Legislative Route No. 679, also known as Pennsylvania
Traffic Route No. 910.
C. North by State Legislative Route 02215, leading up to Gulf Research
Laboratory.
D. East by the right-of-way of the western extension of the Pennsylvania
Turnpike.

for the installation of fire hydrants where required on water mains
along the streets and roads where water mains are installed in said
section of the Township, and for providing a water supply system equipped
to supply sufficient water for the protection of properties in said
Fire Hydrant District from fire.
