This article is enacted under the authority of the Second Class
Township Code, 53 P.S. § 66601, as amended, and the Emergency
Management Services Code, 35 Pa.C.S.A. § 7101 et seq., as
amended.
The Board does hereby ordain that a certain document, attached
hereto and made a part of this article, being identified as the County-Wide
Mutual Aid Agreement, constituting an agreement with the County of
Berks and other political subdivisions within the County of Berks
to provide reciprocal emergency assistance, by and between the parties
to the agreement, shall be joined into and executed by the Board of
Supervisors on behalf of the Township of Union.[1]
