All costs for medical and dental services, as specified in § 500-h(1) of the Correction Law of the State of New York, paid by the County of Dutchess on behalf of an inmate of Dutchess County Jail shall be reimbursed to the County of Dutchess from any third-party coverage or indemnification carried by the inmate.
Such third-party coverage or indemnification shall first be applied against the total cost to the hospital or other provider as established in accordance with the provisions of § 2807 of the Public Health Law relating to rates of payment.
The administrative tasks necessary to carry out the purpose of this article shall be performed by the Office of Risk Management and/or the Commissioner of Human Resources.
