A. 
Adopted. The 2018 Edition of the International Building Code, as supplemented or amended, is hereby adopted and made part hereof by referenced as the basic Building Code of the Village. Not less than one (1) copy of said code as supplemented or amended, duly certified, have been and now are filed in the office of Village Clerk and the same is incorporated as if fully set out at length in this Chapter.
B. 
Amendments. The Building Code adopted by Subsection (A) of this Section is hereby amended, altered and changed in the following respects:
1. 
Wherever the phrase "name of jurisdiction" or "local governing body" appears it shall be construed to mean the "Village of Airport Drive, Missouri."
2. 
Wherever a fine or imprisonment is imposed the minimum fine shall be fifty dollars ($50.00) and the maximum fine shall be five hundred dollars ($500.00); the maximum period of imprisonment shall be ninety (90) days.
3. 
Wherever the code specifies a period of time within which a person must respond or comply with an order of the Code Official, that period of time shall be thirty (30) days.
4. 
Wherever the phrase "code official" appears, it shall be understood to mean the Village Code Enforcement Officer or the appropriate Building, Plumbing or Electrical Inspector.
5. 
Section 101.4.1 is deleted in its entirety.
6. 
Section 101.4.6 is deleted in its entirety.
7. 
Section 105.2 delete item 1 in its entirety.
8. 
Section 105.2 delete item 2 in its entirety.

Section 1405.1.1 is amended by adding the following paragraph: Material commonly known as "corrugated sheet steel," "strong barn," etc., will not be permitted to be used as an exterior finish on any commercial or residential building. It shall also not be permitted or allowed as roofing material on any type building or structure.
13. 
Section 1608.2 Section 1608.2 of the Building Code is hereby amended to provide that thirty (30) pounds per square foot be the ground snow load to utilize in determining the design snow loads for roofs in lieu of fifteen (15) pounds per square foot shown in Figure 1608.2. However, in no case shall the design snow load be less than thirty (30) pounds per square foot.

16. 
Section 1809.5 is amended by adding the following paragraph to the existing Section.
The depth of footings for frost protection shall be thirty (30) inches from finish grade to bottom of footing.
Accessory — residential or commercial storage type buildings with approve treated skids or "portable" type for moving from one (1) location to another are exempt from the footing requirements if under two hundred (200) square feet, but shall be required to be anchored or tied down in an approved manner to prevent possible overturning from wind.
17. 
Section 3109.4 is amended by adding the following paragraph:
Locations: Private swimming pools shall not encroach on any front or side yard required by the basic code, abridged code or the governing zoning law. No wall of a swimming pool shall be located less than six (6) feet from any rear property line, nor less than ten (10) feet from any side property line, nor less than twenty-five (25) feet from a side corner lot line along any street property line.
C. 
Building Board Of Appeals
1. 
There is hereby established a Building Board of Appeals for the Village of Airport Drive.
2. 
The Board shall consist of five (5) members appointed for two (2) years by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees with the approval of the Board of Trustees.
3. 
Members of the Board of Appeals shall be knowledgeable and/or experienced in building construction.
4. 
The Building Board of Appeals shall perform all duties provided for such Board in the 2018 Edition of the International Building Code adopted by the Village of Airport Drive, Missouri, and such other duties as may from time to time be assigned by the Board of Trustees which are not inconsistent with the scope and purpose of the Building Board of Appeals.
D. 
Penalty. Any person violating any of the provisions of this Section or the Code adopted in this Section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction therefor shall be subject to punishment as provided in Section 100.220 of the Village of Airport Drive Code. Each day such violation is committed or permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable as such.

Not less than one (1) copy of said code as supplemented or amended, duly certified, have been and now are filed in the Office of the Village Clerk and the same is incorporated as if fully set out at length in this Chapter.
B. 
Amendments. The Building Code adopted by Subsection (A) of this Section is hereby amended, altered and changed in the following respects:

R313.2 Change wording to read "An automatic residential sprinkler system may be installed in one- and two-family dwellings."

R802.11 Roof tie-down, is amended to read by adding the following paragraph: "all trusses and rafters shall be fastened to the supporting wall assembly by mechanical connections capable of providing the resistance required in Table R602.3(1) item #6. In no case shall the connections be made by solely toe-nailing."

Chapter 11 Energy Efficiency is deleted in its entirety and replaced with the Chapter 11 provisions of the 2006 International Residential Code. Exception: The insulation requirement for floors shall not be required.

Section P2904.1 is amended by adding the following wording in the first sentence to read: Where installed, the design and installation of residential fire sprinkler systems shall be in accordance with NFPA 13D or Section P2904, which shall be considered equivalent to NFPA 13D.

The 2018 Edition of the International Mechanical Code as supplemented and amended, is hereby adopted and made a part hereof by reference for the purpose of regulating and controlling the installation of mechanical systems, including alterations, repairs, replacement, equipment, appliances, fixtures, fittings and/or appurtenances and other energy-related systems. Not less than one (1) copy of said code as supplemented or amended, duly certified, have been and now are filed in the office of the Village Clerk and the same is incorporated as if fully set out at length in this Chapter.
B. 
Amendments. The Mechanical Code adopted by Subsection (A) of this Section is hereby amended, altered and changed in the following respects:
1. 
Section 101.1 Insert: [Village of Airport Drive].
2. 
Section 106.5.2 is hereby amended to read as follows:
i.
106.5.2 Fee Schedule: the permit fees for all mechanical work shall be as indicated in Section 400.050 of the Village of Airport Drive Code.
3. 
Section 106.5.3 Fee Refunds paragraphs numbered 2 and 3 are hereby deleted from the Mechanical Code.
4. 
Section 108.4 of the Mechanical Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
108.4. Violation Penalties. Any person who shall violate a provision of this code or who shall fail to comply with any of the requirements thereof or who shall install plumbing work in violation of an approved plan or the plumbing official or of a permit or certificate issued under the provisions of this code shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, punishable as provided in Section 100.220 of the Village of Airport Drive Code.

Section 108.5 of the Mechanical Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
108.5. Stop Work Orders. Any person who shall continue any mechanical work in or about the structure after having been served with a stop work order, except such work as he/she is directed to perform to remove a violation or unsafe conditions, shall be subject to punishment as provided in Section 100.220 of the Village of Airport Drive Code.

Not less than one (1) copy of said code as supplemented or amended, duly certified, have been and now are filed in the office of the Village Clerk and the same is incorporated as if fully set out at length in this Chapter.
B. 
Amendments. The Plumbing Code adopted by Subsection (A) of this Section is hereby amended, altered and changed in the following respects:
1. 
Section 101.1 Insert: [Village of Airport Drive].
2. 
Section 106.6.2 Insert: 106.6.2 Fee Schedule: the permit fees for all plumbing work shall be as indicated in Section 400.050 of the Village of Airport Drive Code.
3. 
Section 106.6.3 Fee Refunds paragraphs numbered 2 and 3 are hereby deleted from the Plumbing Code.
4. 
Section 108.4 of the Plumbing Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

6. 
Section 305.4 of the Plumbing Code is hereby amended as follows:
305.4 Freezing: Water, soil and waste pipes shall not be installed outside of a building, in attics or crawl spaces, concealed in outside walls, or in any other place subjected to freezing temperatures unless adequate provision is made to protect such pipes from freezing by insulation or heat or both. Exterior water supply system piping shall be installed not less than six (6) inches below the frost line and not less than thirty (30) inches below grade.
7. 
Section 305.4.1 Sewer Depth. Building sewers shall be installed not less than thirty (30) inches below grade.
8. 
Section 701.2 of the Plumbing Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 701.2 Sewer Required: See Section 700.020 et seq., of the Village of Airport Drive Code pertaining to availability of sanitary sewer.
9. 
Section 904.1 Insert: [12 inches].

The 2017 Edition of the National Electrical Code for wiring and apparatus as recommended by the National Fire Protection Association, as supplemented and amended, is hereby adopted and made a part hereof by reference. Not less than one (1) copy of said code as supplemented or amended, duly certified, have been and now are filed in the office of the Village Clerk and the same is incorporated as if fully set out at length in this Chapter.
B. 
Amendments. The Electrical Code adopted by Subsection (A) of this Section is hereby amended, altered and changed in the following respects:
1. 
Wherever the phrase "authority having jurisdiction" appears, it shall be construed to mean the Village of Airport Drive.
2. 
Wherever the Code specifies a period of time within which a person must respond or comply with an order of the Code Official, that period of time shall be thirty (30) days.

B. 
Amendments. The International Property Maintenance Code adopted by Subsection (A) of this Section is hereby amended, altered and changed in the following respects:
1. 
Section 101.1. Insert: Village of Airport Drive.
2. 
Section 103.5. Delete in its entirety.
3. 
Section 112.4. Insert: One hundred dollars ($100.00) — five hundred dollars ($500.00).
4. 
Section 302.4. Insert: Ten (10) inches.
5. 
Section 602.3. Insert: September 1 to May 31.
6. 
Section 602.4. Insert: September 1 to May 31.
7. 
Section 604.2. Change last sentence deleting 60 amperes to read 100 amperes.

Not less than one (1) copy of said code as supplemented or amended, duly certified, have been and now are filed in the office of the Village Clerk and the same is incorporated as if fully set out at length in this Chapter.
B. 
Amendments. The Liquefied Petroleum Gas Code adopted by Subsection (A) of this Section is hereby amended, altered and changed in the following respects:
1.

The Board of Trustees may, by contract, appoint and designate a suitable building inspector or inspectors who shall enforce the provisions of this Code relating to the inspection of buildings or other structures in the Village of Airport Drive, Missouri. The Building Inspector so appointed shall have all rights, obligations, and duties as prescribed by the building codes and other codes of the Village of Airport Drive, Missouri.
