Township of Shaler, PA Article VII Amendment and Review by County

§ 195-91 Amendments.

Amendments to this chapter shall become effective only after a public hearing held by the Township Board of Commissioners pursuant to public notice. The Planning Commission shall make recommendations to the Township Board of Commissioners on any amendment within 30 days prior to the date of the public hearing.

§ 195-92 County review.

A copy of the proposed amendment shall be forwarded to the Allegheny County Department of Economic Development for review and recommendation in accordance with the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code.[1]

§ 195-93 Copy forwarded.

Within 30 days after adoption, the Township Board of Commissioners shall forward a certified copy of any amendment to this chapter to the Allegheny County Department of Economic Development for its files.

§ 195-94 Public examination.

The text of any amendment to this chapter may be examined at a place designated by the Township Board of Commissioners prior to its consideration and in accordance with Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code Section 506(a).[1]
