[R.O. 2006 § 510.010; CC 1975 § 27.010]
All public roadways or streets hereafter constructed or improved shall have a twenty-two-foot wide minimum travelway or traffic lanes exclusive of shoulders, ditches, curbs and gutters and all private driveways constructed adjoining said public roadways or traffic lanes shall be constructed with proper and adequate drainage tiles and whistles of sufficient size and construction to allow for the drainage of all surface water along the ditches, curbs and gutters of said public roadways and streets.

Prior to any construction or improvement of public roadways and streets and the construction and improvement of any private driveways adjoining said public roadways and streets by any property owner, occupant or other person, firm or corporation within the City for the purpose of acquiring ingress and egress to any public roadway or street, or otherwise, he/she or it shall first obtain approval from the Board of Aldermen of the City of Greenfield, Missouri, which shall issue a permit in writing for each project.

Any person constructing new or improving any roadway, street or private driveway within the City of Greenfield shall do so in a careful and prudent manner using barriers, danger signs and night lights to protect the person using said streets.

Any person constructing new or improving any public roadway, street or private driveway without proper drainage of surface water within the City of Greenfield, Missouri, or failing to observe any of the Sections of this Chapter as herebefore stated shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.
