The Registrars of Voters are hereby authorized, pursuant to
the terms of C.G.S. § 9-258a, to appoint two sets of the
election officials designated by statute for the supervision of elections,
such sets of appointees to work in two shifts at elections; provided,
however, that there shall be only one moderator appointed, and that
such moderator, together with the Registrars of Voters or their designated
Assistant Registrars, shall remain present during the election as
required by statute; and further provided, however, that all election
officials of both shifts who are required to sign returns, including
checkers, shall be present at the closing of polls and shall remain
until all returns have been executed.
