[Ord. No. 99-11, Sec. 1]
The statutory offices of Treasurer and City Clerk are hereby combined and one person shall hold both offices. Hereafter, the office shall be known as that of Clerk/Treasurer.
[Ord. No. 99-11, Sec. 2]
The officer holding the office of Clerk/Treasurer shall have such powers and perform such duties as are now permitted by law or as may be prescribed by ordinance of this City, not inconsistent with the provisions of Arkansas Law pertaining to such offices. The Clerk/Treasurer is directed to pay each January the annual service charge of the Arkansas Municipal League from the general fund of the City.

The Clerk/Treasurer shall establish a systematic method of recording each regular and special Council meeting and all committee meetings and shall keep a record of attendance by each Councilmember and the Mayor from which compensation of the members and the Mayor can be computed for payment.

The Clerk/Treasurer or his successor in authority shall and is hereby directed to pay himself or herself and the other officers to which this ordinance applies from the Lincoln general fund as compensation and salary for duties performed as such officers according to the terms of this ordinance.

The compensation of the Clerk/Treasurer of the City of Lincoln shall be fixed at $1,500 per year, payable in 12 monthly increments of $125 each.
