It is the desire and intention of the Municipal Authority of the Borough of Dallastown, York County, Pennsylvania, to organize a Sewer Authority under the "Municipality Authorities Act of 1945," designated as Public Law No. 382, approved May 2, 1945, together with all supplements thereof and amendments thereto, for the purpose of exercising and enjoying all the powers of the Act, its supplements or amendments.[1]

The name of the proposed Authority is the "Dallastown Borough Sewer Authority."
The proposed Articles of Incorporation of the Authority are attached hereto, made a part hereof, designated as Exhibit A.[1]

The Authority shall consist of five persons, and the following named persons are hereby appointed members of the Board of the Authority:
A. 
Charles Eberly, whose term will expire November 8, 1974.
B. 
Mason G. Gable, whose term will expire November 8, 1972.
C. 
William A. Kehm, Jr., whose term will expire November 8, 1973.
D. 
Jay W. Peters, whose term will expire November 8, 1975.
E. 
George W. Schmuck, whose term will expire November 8, 1976.
The Articles of Incorporation of the Authority, in substantially the form set forth in § 8-3 of this article, shall be executed on behalf of the Borough of Dallastown by the President of the Borough Council and the Mayor of the Borough of Dallastown, attested by the Secretary of the Borough of Dallastown, and such officers are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to do all things necessary and appropriate to effect and establish said Authority in conformity with the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945, its supplements and amendments.[1]

The adoption of this article is deemed necessary for the benefit and preservation of the public health, peace, comfort and general welfare and will increase the prosperity of the people of the Borough of Dallastown, York County, Pennsylvania.
[Provisions concerning the Dallastown-Yoe Water Authority, a municipal authority incorporated and existing under the Pennsylvania Municipality Authorities Act of 1945, as amended and supplemented (53 P.S. § 301 et seq.), pursuant to ordinances of the respective Councils of the Borough of Yoe and the Borough of Dallastown, are on file in the Borough offices. As amended 4-13-1981 by Ord. No. 333, the term of existence of said Authority shall be for a period ending January 31, 2031.]
