False alarms shall be considered a violation of the provisions of this chapter. In case of false alarm, any person having knowledge thereof shall immediately notify the Police Department. The Police Department shall cause an investigation to be made of all false alarms and keep a record of such false alarms on file. The Police Department shall issue written warnings for the first seven false alarms within any given one-year period of time. Upon the eighth false alarm, within that same time period, the owner of the location is subject to an initial fine of $100. Each subsequent false alarm after the eighth occurrence, within that same time period, shall subject the owner of the location to an additional $50 fine.
