[HISTORY: Adopted by the Township Council of the Township of Denville by Ord. No. 6/47 (Ch. 3, Secs. 3-12.2, 3-12.17 and 3-12.18, of the 1978 Revised General Ordinances). Amendments noted where applicable.]
No person, whether owner, tenant, occupant or guest, shall suffer or take part in any drunken, riotous or other disorderly conduct that shall disturb the peace and quiet of any family or neighbor, or any of the inhabitants of this Township.

It shall be unlawful for any person to make, cause or suffer or permit to be made or caused upon any premises owned, occupied or controlled by him or it, or upon any public street, alley or thoroughfare in this municipality, any unnecessary noises or sounds by means of the human voice, or by any other means or methods which are physically annoying to persons, or which are so harsh, or so prolonged or unnatural, or unusual in their use, time and place as to occasion physical discomfort, or which are injurious to the lives, health, peace and comfort of the inhabitants of this municipality or any number thereof. Such unnecessary noises or sounds include, but are not limited to, the following:
A.ย 
An exterior burglar alarm of a building or motor vehicle continuing to emit sound more than five minutes for continuous airborne sound and 15 minutes for impulsive sound, as defined in ยงย 350-1 of Chapter 350, Noise, after it has been activated.
B.ย 
Music amplification or reproduction equipment that is plainly audible at a residential property line between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.
C.ย 
Personal vehicular music amplification equipment that is plainly audible at a distance of 50 feet in any direction from the operator between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
D.ย 
Self-contained, portable, hand-held music or sound amplification or reproduction equipment operated on a public space or public right-of-way in such a manner as to be plainly audible at a distance of 50 feet in any direction from the operator between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.; between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., sound from such equipment that is plainly audible by any person other than the operator.
E.ย 
Conversation, yelling, shouting or playing musical instruments in such a manner as to be plainly audible at a residential property line between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.
No person shall unnecessarily obstruct any street or public place with any kind of vehicle or vehicles or with box or boxes, lumber, wood or any other thing.

A.ย 
It is unlawful for any person to urinate or defecate on a public street, sidewalk or in any other public place, or in any other places opened to or used by the public, other than when using a toilet, urinal or commode located in a restroom, bathroom or other structure protected from public view.
B.ย 
Any person violating this section shall be subject upon conviction to the penalties provided in Chapter 1, Article II, General Penalty, of the Township Code.
