This chapter shall hereafter be known and referred to as the "Snowmobile Curfew Ordinance" of the Township.

As used in this chapter:
OPERATE
To start the engine or cause or attempt to cause the engine of a snowmobile to start, or to ride in or on or use or control the operation of a snowmobile in any manner, whether or not the snowmobile is or is about to be put into motion.
OPERATOR
Any person who operates or is in actual physical control of a snowmobile.
OWNER
A person having property in or title to a snowmobile, other than a person who has no interest other than as a lien holder or interest which arises by virtue of a security interest in the snowmobile.
SNOWMOBILE
A self-propelled vehicle designed primarily to travel on snow or ice, and which is steered by skis or runners, and which is supported in part by skis, belts or cleats.
TOWNSHIP LANDS
Any and all lands owned or leased by the Township of Denville.
No person shall operate a snowmobile and no owner thereof shall permit a snowmobile to be operated, within the municipal boundaries of the Township, on either public or private property, or on any street, road, highway or roadway within the municipal boundaries of the Township, except during the following hours:
A.ย 
Monday through Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
B.ย 
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
C.ย 
Sunday: 12:00 noon to 10:00 p.m.

No person shall drive or otherwise operate a snowmobile, nor shall any owner thereof permit the operation of a snowmobile in, on or upon Township lands.

Any person or owner who shall permit the existence or locating of a snowmobile upon Township lands shall be presumed to have violated the provisions of this chapter.
