No motor vehicle of any kind shall be permitted to park at any time in the Township as follows:
A. 
In a permitted handicapped parking zone, as so designated by the Township Supervisors or their designee, unless the vehicle parked in the permitted handicapped parking zone displays a valid handicapped parking permit for that particular handicapped parking zone as issued by the Township Supervisors or their designee.
B. 
On a street or highway where official signs prohibit parking, or where official signs prohibit parking on certain days or times of day.
C. 
Within 15 feet of any intersection.
D. 
In the front or side yard of any property, unless the vehicle is parked on a driveway with the driveway owner's consent.
E. 
Facing the wrong direction opposite the authorized flow of traffic.
F. 
More than six inches from the curb.
G. 
At an improper angle such that the longitudinal axis of the vehicle is not parallel with the edge of the roadway.
H. 
In a posted no-parking zone.
I. 
In a matter that obstructs a crosswalk or sidewalk, or within 20 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection.
J. 
In front of a private driveway.
K. 
Alongside another vehicle that is already parked parallel to the curb, also known as "double parking."
L. 
Within 15 feet of a fire hydrant.
M. 
In a manner that obstructs or blocks vehicular or pedestrian traffic.
N. 
The vehicle is missing or has an expired registration sticker, or has a missing or expired inspection sticker.
O. 
Outside the marked lines on any street that delineate a space to park an individual motor vehicle.

A. 
Prohibited parking of commercial vehicles. No commercial vehicles, including but not limited to trucks having a hauling capacity in excess of one ton, tractors, tractor-trailers, or cargo-moving vehicles, shall be parked along any street, alley or highway located within Scott Township except as follows:
(1) 
For the purpose of picking up or delivering goods or for rendering services during the normal course of business, provided that such commercial vehicle does not impede the flow of vehicular traffic.
(2) 
For the purpose of road construction when construction is in progress, provided the vehicle does not impede the flow of vehicular traffic.
B. 
Recreational vehicle restrictions. No recreational equipment shall be allowed to remain parked on any street, alley or highway of Scott Township for a period of more than 48 hours. For the purpose of this section, the term "recreational equipment" shall include, but is not limited to, boats and boat trailers, jet ski and jet ski trailers, travel trailers, coaches, pickup campers (designed to be mounted on automotive trailers), motorized dwellings, tent trailers and/or other similar equipment which is attached to a vehicle or other form of motorized transport.
No person shall park a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XIII (§ 130-51), attached to and made a part of this chapter, except at the angle designated and only within the painted stall lines. On all streets or portions thereof where angle parking is now or shall hereafter be authorized, all vehicles parked thereon shall be parked with the front thereof nearest the curb.
No person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XIV (§ 130-52), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XV (§ 130-53), attached to and made a part of this chapter, during the hours specified in said schedule, on any day except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
No person shall park a vehicle or allow the same to remain parked upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XVI (§ 130-54), attached to and made a part of this chapter, between the hours specified, for longer than the time indicated in said schedule.
It shall be unlawful for any person to park any vehicle or to allow the same to remain parked in any special purpose parking zone established in Schedule XVII (§ 130-55), attached to and made a part of this chapter, except as specifically provided for such zone.
A. 
Within one hour following the accumulation of snowfall to a depth of two inches and accumulating on all Township streets and alleyways, the owners or operators of all vehicles of any type shall remove the same or cause the same to be removed from all such Township streets and alleyways.
B. 
In the event that said owners or operators shall not have removed said vehicles from the streets or alleyways of the Township within the period set forth in Subsection A and who shall fail, neglect or refuse to comply with any of the provisions of this section within the time prescribed herein, the Township shall remove or tow away said vehicles or cause the same to be removed or towed away to a place or places designated by the Board of Supervisors, and the costs of which shall be due and payable by the owners or operators of said vehicles, and which costs and expenses shall include all storage costs involved in the event said vehicles are stored by the Township.

A. 
Any person violating any provision of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, forfeit and pay the sum of not less than $25, which shall be recoverable before any Magisterial District Justice in the same manner as provided for the enforcement of summary offenses under the Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure. All fines and penalties shall be forthwith paid to the Treasurer of Scott Township. Each day's continuance of a violation of this article shall constitute a separate offense.
B. 
The Scott Township Code Enforcement Officer as well as the Scott Township Police shall have authority to determine if a violation of this article has occurred and to impose fines, costs and penalties in accordance with the provisions herein. All notices of violation shall include an instruction that, if the alleged violator voluntarily pays the fines stated on the notice of violation within 48 hours of the issuance of the notice, the Township will forgo prosecution of the violation.
