An independent auditor who shall be a certified public accountant,
registered in Pennsylvania, is hereby appointed to make an independent
examination of the accounting records of the Borough of Liberty, pursuant
to the Borough Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, 53 P.S. § 46005.
2.
Said independent auditor shall be authorized and directed to make
an independent examination of the accounting records of the Borough
of Liberty for each and every fiscal year, and shall perform such
other duties and exercise such other powers as conferred by statute.

Said independent auditor shall be appointed annually by resolution
of the Council of the Borough before the close of a fiscal year.
4.
The office of elected Borough Auditor is hereby abolished, although
the Borough Auditors presently in office shall continue to hold their
offices during the terms for which elected, but shall not audit, settle
or adjust accounts audited by such independent auditor, except they
shall perform the other duties of their offices.
