The Council of the Borough of Dublin does hereby provide for
the appointment of an independent auditor who shall be a certified
public accountant, registered in Pennsylvania, to replace the office
of elected auditor.

The independent auditor shall be appointed annually, by resolution
of the Council before the close of the fiscal year.

The appointed auditor shall make an independent examination
of the accounting records of the Borough for each fiscal year and
also perform the other duties and exercise the powers as conferred
upon him by Article XI, Subdivision (k), of the Act of February 1,
1966, P.L. (1965), No. 581, 1196 [the Borough Code].

The compensation of the independent auditor shall be determined
by Council and paid out of Borough funds pursuant to and in accordance
with the applicable provisions of the Act of February 1, 1966, P.L.
(1965), No. 581, 1196 [the Borough Code].
