Amendments to this chapter shall become effective only after
a public hearing held by the Borough Council pursuant to public notice.
The Planning Commission shall make recommendations to the Borough
Council on any amendment within 30 days prior to the date of the public
hearing.
A copy of the proposed amendment shall be forwarded to the Allegheny
County Planning Department for review and recommendation in accordance
with the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code.[1]

Within 30 days after adoption, the Borough Council shall forward
a certified copy of any amendment to this chapter to the Allegheny
County Department of Economic Development for its files.
The text of any amendment to this chapter may be examined at
a place designated by the Borough Council prior to its consideration
and in accordance with Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code § 506(a).
