There is hereby created and amended a Garden Committee to consist
of up to 20 members, each of whom shall serve for a term of one year.
The members of the Committee shall be appointed by the Mayor with
the consent of the Council. Vacancies shall be filled for a one-year
term.
The Garden Committee shall have the power and duty to make recommendations
to the Mayor and Council concerning or touching upon the beautification
of properties throughout the Borough. If the Mayor and Council shall
approve of such recommendations or any part thereof, the Committee
shall be notified of this approval, and the Committee may, in the
discretion of the Mayor and Council, be directed to carry into effect
the recommendations or any approved part thereof.
The Committee shall be chaired by the Chairperson who shall
be appointed by the Mayor and Council.
The Committee members shall serve without compensation. The
Mayor and Council of the Borough may appropriate funds for the expenses
incurred by the Garden Committee.
