1. 
The permit fee for all new construction and additions to existing structures shall be determined by multiplying gross square footage of the new construction or addition by the most current regional construction cost data as established and published from time to time by BOCA International by the permit fee multiplier of 0.006.

Types of construction shall include the following: 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B, 2C, 3A, 3B, 4, 5A and 5B, which are defined in the BOCA Basic Building Code.

1. 
Alterations and Rehabilitation. Except as otherwise provided hereinafter, there shall be no fee for any project constructed at a cost under $1,000. Additionally, alterations do not include cosmetic improvements such as wall papering, paneling and redecorating within the home. Alterations would, however, include remodeling involving changes to load-bearing walls, tearing out walls, new furnaces, adding rooms, adding stoops, etc. Fences, sidewalks and curbing are not included within the Borough's Existing Structures Code. The permit fee for construction involving the alterations and/or rehabilitation of existing structures shall be determined by multiplying the gross square footage of the area to be altered or rehabilitated by 1/2 of the most recent regional construction cost data as established and published from time to time by BOCA International by the permit fee multiplier of 0.006.
2. 
Freestanding Accessory Buildings Constructed at a Minimum Cost Over $1,000: $15. Garages and premanufactured buildings are not considered freestanding accessory buildings.
3. 
Decks. For decks more than 18 inches above grade or greater than 50 square feet or including utilities, the permit fee shall be $25 plus $10 per $1,000 construction costs either declared by the owner or computed by the Code Enforcement Officer, whichever is greater. The computed cost will be determined using $7.50 per square foot.
4. 
Residential Roofing. In the event of replacement or repair of shingles, either asphalt, fiberglass, slate, wooden or the like, or any other approved roof covering, including, but not limited to, metal roofing, where 100 square feet or more of roof covering is repaired, replaced or established, the fee shall be $35. In addition to the building permit, an affidavit, signed by the applicant, stating the removal of old roofing material must be disposed of in an approved manner, must also be kept on file with the building permit application.

Mobile Home Placement: $100 flat fee.
6. 
Residential Swimming Pools: $25 plus $10 per $1,000 construction cost.
7. 
Commercial Swimming Pools: $150 plus $10 per $1,000 construction cost.
8. 
Unspecified Construction: $25 plus $10 per $1,000 construction cost. Unspecified construction includes carports and garages.

1. 
Demolition of structures with utilities:
A. 
Single-family detached: $200.
B. 
Single-family attached: $200, plus $50 per unit.
C. 
Motels/hotels: $500, plus $25 per unit.
D. 
Industrial and Commercial: $200, plus $5 per square foot of floor space.
2. 
No demolition fee will be charged if the subject structure is to be rebuilt or if the demolition is in the aftermath of a fire.

All services, investigations, prosecution preparation or any other work performed in the administration of the building codes enforcement program which are not specifically mentioned hereinabove or in those situations where the schedule of fees is not reasonably sufficient to cover the cost of administering the code enforcement activities shall be charged at the hourly rate then in effect for services charged by the Code Enforcement Officer to the Borough. For complaint investigations which result in a finding of no violation, no fee shall be charged to the alleged violator.
