[The salaries and compensation of the various officers and employees of the Township of Bridgewater are set by the Township Council by ordinance. Copies of current salary ordinances, as amended, are on file in the office of the Township Clerk, available for inspection during regular office hours.]

All full-time employees, part-time employees, and elected public officials who receive compensation from the Township of Bridgewater are mandated to have direct deposit of their compensation as of August 1, 2017, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-15f.
Municipal employees may request an exemption from the direct deposit requirements of this article by written request to the Township of Bridgewater Chief Financial Officer. Such request will be presented to the Township Council for consideration within seven days of receipt. The Township Council may grant an exemption from the requirements of this article for good cause shown on such terms and conditions as the Township Council may deem necessary.
