[HISTORY: Adopted by the Village Board of the Village of Grafton by Ord. No. 007, Series 2002 (Title 2, Ch. 2.33, of the 1979 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
Pursuant to § 66.0805(6), Wis. Stats., there is hereby created a Board of Public Works of the Village of Grafton.
A. 
The Board of Public Works shall consist of five members. All members shall be residents of the Village appointed by the Village President, subject to the approval of the Village Board. The membership of the Board of Public Works shall consist of three Village Board members and two citizen members. The Village President shall designate a Chair of the Board of Public Works.
B. 
The three Village Board members shall be appointed at the second regular Village Board meeting in April, and the two citizen members shall be appointed at the first regular meeting in May of each year. The citizen members shall be appointed as follows: one shall serve for a two-year term, and one shall serve for a three-year term.
The Village President, the Village Administrator, Public Works Director/Village Engineer and the Utility Director shall be ex officio members of the Board of Public Works.
Vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired term of members whose terms become vacant in the same manner as originally appointed.
The Board of Public Works shall have review authority over the following: streets, sidewalks, stormwater management facilities, forestry, sanitation, recycling, bridges, public buildings, municipal equipment and public sewer and water services.
