The annual compensation payable to a duly elected or appointed supervisor for attending regular meetings of the Board of Township Supervisors and duly advertised special meetings of the Board of Township Supervisors shall not exceed that amount allowed by the Second Class Township Code relating to compensation of supervisors, 53 P.S. § 65606, as amended from time to time.
By resolution, the Board of Township Supervisors may determine at its last regularly scheduled meeting of any year to increase the compensation supervisors are to receive for attendance at such meetings; provided, however, that the total annual compensation payable to a supervisor for meeting attendance may not exceed that amount allowed by the Second Class Township Code relating to compensation of supervisors regardless of the number of meetings attended.

Pursuant to Act of May 25, 1945 [P.L. 1050, 72 P.S. § 5511.35, as amended, and 72 P.S. § 5511.36(a)], the elected Tax Collector of the Township of Raccoon shall receive as compensation 2.0% of the amount of taxes collected.
The Township of Raccoon will not provide rent-free office space to the elected Tax Collector. The elected Tax Collector will be responsible for securing his or her own office space and any costs associated therewith. Upon agreement of the elected Tax Collector and Supervisors, a lease agreement may be entered into providing the elected Tax Collector office space within Township-owned structures, with all costs being the responsibility of the elected Tax Collector.
The printing, postage, data processing, forms, and blanks that are required to be paid by the Township of Raccoon will be ordered and paid for by the Township and then supplied to the elected Tax Collector. The elected Tax Collector is not to order any of these items without written permission from two or more Supervisors. Should the Township of Raccoon elect to purchase computer software to assist with tax collection, the elected Tax Collector shall comply with any training program for said software at the direction of the Supervisors and shall use said software at the direction of the Supervisors.
The Township of Raccoon will compensate the elected Tax Collector $35 plus registration fees and mileage or actual transportation expense for each county, regional or state association meeting for elected officials that the Supervisors authorize the elected Tax Collector to attend as a delegate of the Township of Raccoon.
The article shall take effect the ninth day of August, 2016. The adjusted rate of compensation and fringe benefit policy set forth hereinabove shall be applicable to the elected term of office beginning on January 1, 2018, and thereafter.
