The Borough Council of the Borough of Folcroft, pursuant to
the authority contained in the Borough Code, as may be amended from
time to time, finds and declares the need for an Economic Revitalization
Commission to operate within the territorial limits of the Borough,
and authorizes, creates and establishes the Borough of Folcroft Economic
Revitalization Commission.
The Economic Revitalization Commission shall monitor and review
all economic conditions in the Borough with special attention to the
retail shopping strip along Delmar Drive and the Industrial Park,
as well as other commercial establishments, in the Borough; the impact
that Borough regulations and ordinances have or can have on attracting
and retaining business entities in the Borough; services that the
Borough performs or could initiate for business owners and residents
and that could be a positive force for economic revitalization in
the Borough.
The Economic Revitalization Commission is authorized to conduct
pubic education, hold public meetings, work with adjacent boroughs
and townships, participate in county and state programs and make recommendations
to the Council of the Borough of Folcroft on actions it might take
to further the revitalization of the economy in the Borough and particularly
the private sector.
The laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and ordinances
of the Borough of Folcroft shall govern the Commission and all of
its actions.
