I, Dallastown Borough Community Park, adopted 8-11-1999 by Ord. No.
444, as amended.
A.
Hours of operation for the park are from 6:00 a.m. until dusk, with
no trespassing during nonoperating hours.
B.
Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
over the age of 18, with the exception of organized sports practices
and events with the Borough Council's permission.
C.
No littering.
D.
Negligent or deliberate destruction or removal of any natural or
physical property is forbidden.
E.
Possession, use, and/or distribution of alcoholic beverages, controlled
substances, and/or tobacco products, including electronic cigarettes,
is prohibited in the park. No one shall be under the influence of
alcohol or controlled substances while in the park.
F.
Fireworks, guns, rifles, airguns, bows, slingshots, paintball guns,
or any similar items are not permitted in the park, subject to Pennsylvania
preemption laws concerning firearms.
G.
Motorized vehicles are not permitted inside the fenced area of the
park.
H.
All pets must be kept on a leash and under the control of the pet's
owner or handler at all times. The pet's owner or handler shall
immediately and properly remove and dispose of any and all feces left
by the pet.
I.
No metal detectors.
J.
Solicitation, selling, or distribution of any items or services are
prohibited in the park.
K.
Boisterous, immoral, or indecent conduct, and/or profanity are prohibited
in the park area.
L.
No glass containers are allowed in the park.
M.
No open fires or hot coals shall be permitted in the park except
in fireplaces or grills. Fires shall not be left unattended and shall
be thoroughly extinguished before being abandoned.
N.
Picnic tables may not be removed from the pavilions and shall remain
in place at all times.
O.
Skateboarding, in-line skating, and bicycling are prohibited in all
pavilions, on the stage, and on designated walking trails.
P.
Use of electrical outlets is for Borough use only, and they shall
not be used by park visitors.
Q.
The Borough Council, or Borough Manager with the Borough Council's
consent, may close the park in the event that hazardous conditions
exist that create a danger to life and/or property. There shall be
no trespassing during such times that the park is closed.
These park rules and regulations, including, without limitation,
the penalties and fine(s) imposed below, may be updated from time
to time by resolution of the Borough Council.
A.
Any person, firm, or corporation violating any provision(s) of this
article or any appropriate order of Borough personnel pursuant to
the park rules and regulations ordained hereby shall, upon conviction
thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine not to exceed $600, and, in default
of payment thereof, to imprisonment of not more than 30 days.
B.
The Borough, in its sole and absolute discretion, reserves the right
to ban any violator of these rules and regulations from the park.
C.
The Borough may, from time to time, by resolution amend the foregoing
rules and regulations, including, without limitation, the fine and/or
additional penalties for violating said rules and regulations.
