Pursuant to the authority granted in § 349.06 of the
Wisconsin Statutes, the Town Board of the Town of Arbor Vitae does
hereby adopt Chapter 346 of the Wisconsin Statutes which regulates
vehicular traffic in the State of Wisconsin and is to be applied to
all vehicular traffic on all Town roads in the Town of Arbor Vitae.
Appropriate signs pursuant to Chapter 346 shall be placed upon
Town roads to indicate regulations which come into effect as the result
of the adoption of Chapter 346 of the Wisconsin Statutes.
The Vilas County Sheriff's Department shall have the authority
to enforce this ordinance and by means of this resolution and ordinance,
the Town Board of the Town of Arbor Vitae is granting said authority
to the Vilas County Sheriff's Department for enforcement purposes.
The Town Board of the Town of Arbor Vitae by adopting Chapter
346 of the Wisconsin Statutes also adopts the penalties contained
therein which that chapter sets forth with said penalties to be set
by the Circuit Court of Vilas County.
This article is binding on all individuals traveling in and
through the Town of Arbor Vitae in any manner or any vehicle.

A.
Pursuant
to § 349.11, Wis. Stats., effective July 15, 2020, speed
limits on certain Town of Arbor Vitae Town highways are reduced or
modified as follows.
B.
Pursuant
to § 349.11(5), Wis. Stats., the Town chairperson, or his
or her designee, shall place appropriate traffic signs at the below-described
locations on or before the effective date of this section.
C.
No person
may operate any vehicle on the below-noted Town highways in violation
of the below-noted speed limits. Any violation shall be subject to
penalties under § 346.60, Wis. Stats.
