A.
Nonuniform employees.
(1)
Employees who feel aggrieved should bring the matter to the attention
of their Supervisor. The Supervisor shall listen carefully to the
complaint, shall attempt to discover all pertinent facts and shall
attempt to adjust the matter and shall respond within five working
days.
(2)
If the grievance has not been settled, a written complaint will be
submitted to Council Committee Chairman of Department who must respond
within 10 working days.
(3)
If the grievance still remains unsettled, the employee shall have
the right to apply for hearing before the Nondiscrimination Committee.
The Committee, after hearing all facts, shall send a recommendation
for solution to the governing body.
B.
Citizens.
(1)
Citizens who feel aggrieved should bring the matter to the attention
of the Handicap Nondiscrimination Coordinator.
(2)
If no satisfaction is received, a written complaint should be submitted
to the governing body.
(3)
If the grievance remains unsettled, the citizen can request a hearing
before the Nondiscrimination Committee.
(4)
The Committee will submit in writing its recommendation to the governing
body.
C.
This policy encompasses all employees of the Borough of Larksville
and all residents of this municipality. It does not apply to applicants
for employment. It will become effective 30 days after the approval
date.
